We understand that transitioning into a new environment can be challenging for both children and parents. Therefore, we implement a one-week gradual entry process. This involves a phased approach to integration, allowing the child to become comfortable with the new surroundings, peers, and caregivers.
Gradual entry typical schedule:
Day one: Child and one parent/ guardian attend the program for 2 hours before lunch time 9am-11am.
Day two: Child and one parent/ guardian attend for 1hour together and one hour only a child,9am-11am.
Day three: Child attends the center in the morning and will be picked up after lunch time before nap time,9am-12.30pm
Day four: child attend the program and stays for lunch time, quiet time and will be picked up at 3.30pm.
Day five: Child attends the program for full day.
Note: Children have different characters. We try our best to ease this process for both the child and parents.
If your child needs more than one-week gradual entry the schedule is the same but double. For example, day one and two have the same schedule as day one. This will be decided based on the educator and parent phone call meeting after first session of attendance.
Please note that your phone should be in silent mode and no phone calls is permitted as it distracts other children. Should you have any question during attendance, please write it down in a piece of paper and we will make sure it will be answered shortly.
