Why do we prepare children for kindergarten?

Preparing children for kindergarten is crucial as it sets the foundation for their academic success and social integration. Introducing basic academic concepts, fostering social skills, and nurturing emotional readiness equip children with the confidence and resilience needed to navigate the kindergarten environment effectively. This preparation ensures a smoother transition, enhances their overall learning experience, and lays the groundwork for future educational achievements.

What We Offer

 

We offer a variety of activities to support children’s development across various domains. These may include sensory exploration, such as sand and water play, art and craft activities to encourage creativity, gross motor play for physical development, storytelling and language activities to enhance communication skills, as well as structured learning experiences to introduce early literacy and numeracy concepts. Additionally, outdoor play and social interactions are often incorporated to promote social-emotional development and build positive relationships among children.

We provide a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. We strive to appreciate and respect each child’s uniqueness in learning styles and his/her pace in intellectual & physical growth. Our Staff focuses on each child’s individual needs and promote his/her development through providing educational and age-appropriate programs. For 4Year-old children , we provide fundamental learning material to prepare them for school while younger children will benefit from fun learning activities that can be used to learn something new each day.

The program is aimed at the mental and creative development of children – from junior groups to preparation for school.

We offer morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack with a focus on fresh fruits and vegetables. The menu is kid-friendly one . we may change the menu based on children’s interest and seasonal products. Our goal is to provide children with nutritious food based on Canada’s Food Guide, as well as opportunity to try all sort of foods.

We offer French and Farsi classes based on a weekly schedule. We start with alphabets and numbers and elevate the level by teaching simple daily-used words , seasons , colors,…..

We are pleased to announce that we have the opportunity to offer summer camp for even school-age children in our center. This camp offer various fun and age-appropriate activities including , baking, tie-dye shirt, painting, Crafts, music and dance, water splash play, free-style play and more.

Our center is a new facility licensed by Vancouver Coastal Health.

Our hours of operation for summer camp is 8:45 am- 3:00 pm. If you need more hours of care, please mention it before registration to facilitate your request.

fee: $350 for a week(Monday-Friday).

Optional snack : $50

Our Activities

Painting

Painting is always encourage in our center. It allows children to express themselves creatively while developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It also promotes imagination and problem-solving as they experiment with colors, shapes, and textures.

Table Activies

Everyday we provide children with wide range of table activities including, Play dough, puzzles, tracing, crafts, board games,…

One of the reasons for child care center introduce table activities is to prepare children for kindergarten and elementary school. It offers opportunities to work with a teacher, focus on the activity at hand, or socialize with others.

STEM

STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities can inspire children to develop a natural curiosity about the world. From making paper circuit boards to building a balloon car, children can do dozens of STEM activities daily to boost creativity and cognitive processing.

Music & Movement

Music and movement activities enhance children’s physical development by improving coordination and gross motor skills. They also stimulate cognitive abilities, such as memory and attention, through rhythmic patterns and song repetition. Additionally, these activities promote social interaction and emotional expression, fostering a sense of community and well-being among children. Our professional music and dance teachers will create exciting and fun environment for children to enjoy every moment of the class.

Sand Play

Playing in sand is a great way to get little ones working their fine motor skills. As well as the feel of the sand, children can learn how to use a bucket and spade, test their hand-eye coordination, and develop their stamina.

Storytime

Storytelling sparks imagination and creativity, transporting children to different worlds and scenarios, encouraging them to think critically and make connections to their own experiences. Additionally, it promotes social and emotional development by exploring characters’ feelings and dilemmas, facilitating empathy and understanding of others’ perspectives. Story time cultivates a love for reading and learning, laying the foundation for lifelong literacy and academic success. Integrating story time into daycare routines not only enriches children’s cognitive abilities but also nurtures their social, emotional, and imaginative growth.

Water Play

We set up water play both indoors and outdoors as water activities develop and strengthen children’s gross and fine motor skills. Children enhance their gross motor skills, coordination and physical fitness through lifting, pouring, carrying, running and splashing, while actions such as squeezing help to develop the small muscles in a child’s hands.
